Okay, it's signed here and all sealed...
That should do it for our contract.
(They were definitely worried about us signing with a label at first, but I'm glad Mom and Dad agreed to this...)
(They even said they'd be willing to support us after I told them why we're going pro...)
(That's on top of going through all the fine print and discussing our finances... That really put me at ease.)
All that's left is to hand this over to Mr. Shindo.
And I think it's almost time for me to go.
Where'd I put my phone...?
I still have a little time.
Huh?
(This news headline... A meteor shower...?)
“The Perseid meteor shower, one of Japan's three biggest meteor shower events, is just over the horizon. This event will go on for about a month, with the peak days being...”
A meteor shower...
That reminds me of the time we watched one when we were little...
There's another one!
We practiced playing that Miku song and just happened to see it happen on our way home...
I couldn't believe how beautiful it was...
(But then, in junior high...
We slowly began to drift apart...)
(I wasn't sure if we'd ever get to watch another meteor shower together like that again...)
It'd be great to see another one together.
Thanks for waiting.
Okay, we're all here.
Ichi! Did you fill out your contract okay? I'll lend you my pen if you forgot to sign anywhere!
Th-That's okay. My parents went over it with me multiple times at home.
Okay, that's good to hear!
Tsukasa and I totally panicked earlier this morning after I found a spot that I forgot to sign.
Don't worry, Saki, only you would be so scatterbrained.
What?! Shiho, you're so mean!
Anyway, shall we head in...?
We wouldn't want to keep Mr. Shindo waiting.
Right... Let's go!
...
Okay, I think we're all set.
I officially accept your contracts.
Which means...
W-We... We're...!
Yes. From now on, you'll be producing music under this label. We're looking forward to seeing you get started.
W-We did it! We're finally pros...!
Yeah...
At the same time... We knew a while back that we'd be doing this, so I don't think this part is anything to get so excited about.
Oh? Then, Shiho, why are you grinning?
I-I'm just... I mean, of course I'm happy for us...
Hehe... We finally made it to this point...!
Yeah...
I'm still not sure what it means to commit to trying to become a pro...
But I know that I want to be in a band with you, Shiho. I want to perform in shows with you. I want others to be moved by our music...
If that means aiming to become professionals, so be it...!
(We made the decision to go pro that time...)
(We didn't know if it'd actually be possible, and there were times when we felt unsure of ourselves...)
(But we really did it...!)
(We won't be debuting for a while... But we should be able to play in front of more and more people compared to before.)
(And I want to do everything I can to move their hearts... Through our music.)
Now, about how things will proceed moving forward...
Your band will be making its debut as an artist for the label sometime in the future.
However, there's a list of preparations that need to be made before you can.
Preparations?
Well, you need to produce some new songs, while we need to promote your name around your debut date.
I'll start putting some proposals together soon that discuss how you might be billed and such.
Naturally, that includes what kind of band you want to become, how you wish to be perceived and what your music means to you.
You'll need to know those things in order to see what you wish to achieve. And we can't do any marketing if we don't know what you want.
Oh...
Yes, of course.
I'll set up some meetings for us in the future to discuss all of that. So, let's take the time to talk through it all carefully.
Y-Yes...!
Thank you very much!
Then, that's about it for today...
Again, your contracts all seem to be in order, so I'll be taking them.
We unfortunately need a bit of lead time with these... So, for now, please keep practicing as you have been.
And feel free to contact me if anything comes up on your end.
O-Okay.
Thank you very much for talking with us today!
