*Yawn*... Good morning!!
The sun's shining! The birds are chirping! Everything is all wonderhoy!
(Things got a little sad yesterday, but it'll all be fine now!)
(I just have to do a bunch of shows and get a bunch of people to come and watch so that my brothers won't have to put in new rides or attractions! They'll understand!)
Okay! Today's gonna be wonderhoy!
Good morning!
Hm? No one's here? Maybe they're in the living room...
It's finally the day of the inspection...
At last, things are starting to move along. It took so long just to get to this point...
We can finally go back to being a respectable theme park.
And we'll need to decide soon which attraction to scrap next.
The Trampoline Dome seems like a viable candidate. It's a low-yield attraction that's only meant for children so...
What...?!
I remember you really loved the Trampoline Dome, Saki.
Yeah! The feeling of jumping around all those fluffy clouds was the best!
Indeed. It's been one of your favorites since you were little. We'd always go to the Trampoline Dome, but you kept begging us to go back in for seconds or even thirds.
W-Waaaait...!!
E-Emu...?!
You're just gonna tear this down too?!
I know that you want to build new rides and stuff to attract more visitors, but...!
There are tons of people that love the Trampoline Dome! And they'll all be super sad if you do tear it down!
Sad...? There's no way anyone in their right mind would feel an attachment to that thing.
There is! One of my friends really loves it...!
Oh, fine. A small handful of people aside, even they'll end up forgetting about it as time passes.
And if our negotiations tomorrow go as planned, you'll start seeing new rides and attractions pop up left and right. Everyone will be drawn much more to those too, obviously.
Huh? Negotiations?
What are you talking about?!
It's none of your business.
But...!
I shall explain...
Tomorrow, we'll be meeting with Riley Entertainment to finalize a licensing agreement that will allow us to use their characters.
As I'm sure you're already aware, Riley Entertainment produces and distributes films, some of which have become blockbusters that spawned a variety of popular characters.
Phoenix Wonderland will have themes centering around these characters from now on.
Why...?! We already have Phenny and Poochie and...!
You mean those primitive relics?
I'm amazed they've lasted this long.
Plus, it's a simple fact that Riley Entertainment's characters have the respect and adoration of young fans all over.
If we can tap into that demographic, this park will advertise itself through social media and let us earn revenue more efficiently since it would save us the trouble of having to do so ourselves.
If we need to advertise, then I can help do that through our shows!
We've tried everything we can up to this point to increase our visitors...
That is why we arrived upon overhauling this park's theme. Any rides or attractions that don't fit with this theme will be removed as a result.
B-But...!
We're out of choices.
But don't worry. The Wonder Stage will remain a key piece as long as it can attract visitors...
No... You're just not getting it!
The park is supposed to be about making people laugh and smile...!
Sigh... You're still spouting what that geezer used to say? His old adages just don't help us get visitors!
Yeah, I get that they sound old...
And I know that we don't have as many rides and stuff as the bigger parks, or that what we have won't get as many visitors as we could...!
But everyone that came before has fond memories of the Trampoline Dome and Haunted House. They still remember it all...!
So I want us to think about the visitors more too!
I think that we have to do that to be a truly great park!
Your head is in the clouds...
And we can't survive on just nice ideals.
But...!
What's going on? I heard someone yelling and...
You're causing a disturbance...
Sis... Dad...!
Keisuke and Shosuke were talking about partnering with another company to tear down a bunch of rides and stuff...!
What...?!
Ah, is that what this is about...?
I know that we need new rides to help bring in more visitors...
But I'm really worried that everyone that came before will be really sad or disappointed if it really does happen!
Grandpa always said that he wanted to make it a place where everyone can laugh and smile...
Emu...
This is what it means to run a business.
...!!
Do you finally understand? We won't make it just by pandering to your whims and needs.
Emu...
(What do I do...? If this really happens, everyone's memories will all disappear...!)
(I want to do something about it... B-But...!)
Okay! That should be everything!
Wow☆
So many books!
Yes. But since we're discussing what to put into our program, it seemed like a good idea to gather as many plays, books and scripts as we could.
Deciding which to choose may be difficult, but I'm looking forward to reading through these.
Then let's start with this one and work our way through each of them?
Okay...!
...
Ah, yes. This indeed is a good one! But the last part is way too over the top!
Oh? I'm surprised that someone such as yourself can't see through what's going on in this scene.
So doesn't that make the first one the best choice? It's easy to understand and interesting...
Yes. I agree with Nene.
I like this one a lot☆
We'll get to sing so much♪
Well, isn't this turning into a heated discussion...!
Hm? Wait. I don't see Emu anywhere...
...
Emu...?
Huh?! Oh, Len, Rin...!
Emu, what's wrong?
Is something bothering you?
N-No! I just felt sleepy after having a big lunch is all!
But I'm all better now!
See!
I should get back to the stage!
Bye bye!
Oh, there she goes!
She seemed really down...
I hope she's okay.
Hm? Where could Emu have gone off to? She's usually talking my ear off when we do things like this...
Oh? She was here a second ago. Emu...!
Ta-daa! Here I am!
Emu, where were you?
I, uhh... I was wandering around and fell asleep after having a big lunch.
Uh, okay... You're a free spirit, I guess...
I see no problem with that. Let's add Emu into our discussion and choose where to go from here.
Oh, but I do have one suggestion. What if we put a trampoline in the middle of the stage? Wouldn't that be something to see?
It would! That's a great idea! Everyone's eyes would be drawn straight to it!
And the kids that come and see our show would want to go to the Trampoline Dome right after!
Oh...
I can see that. It'll probably be a lot more fun than usual too, after seeing something like that.
Yes. Tying your show's theme to something in the park is a wonderful idea.
Totally! It'll be so much fun and turn into some great memories too♪
No, they can't just get rid of it...
I have to try harder to convince them...!
