This is your carnival's final stop...?
B-But why?
You've been able to put smiles on the faces of so many...
Fortunately, yes.
It's a moving sight to behold.
However, as you can see, I'm not young...
Traveling around from place to place takes its toll.
Oh...
But I'm satisfied.
I started this carnival with the dream of putting smiles on the faces of people all over.
And I've successfully accomplished that.
People all over...
Yes. Even today, I got to see all these guests smile and laugh.
That includes you kids.
And I couldn't be happier.
Mr. Inuyama...
I see...
It is unfortunate to hear that such a wonderful carnival is going to be closing its gates... But I also believe that you've made a large number of people very happy.
That obviously includes me!
Ah, thank you.
I know. Would it be alright if I asked you when your final day is?
Huh?
We'd like to come visit again if possible!
Yeah, we were just talking about coming back!
Haha. You did say that.
The final day is two weeks from now.
You're all more than welcome to visit if you're free then.
Two weeks from now... We don't have practice then.
I'm also free.
So, let's all come back together, the four of us!
Agreed! We shall return to this carnival and witness what is surely going to be a spectacular finale!
...!
A spectacular finale...
Meooow...
Is something wrong, Mr. Inuyama...?
No, it's nothing serious.
It's just...
If only we could do that show...
Then we'd be able to give this carnival the send-off it deserves.
That show?
Would it be possible for you to tell us more...?
...
So, to celebrate the opening of this carnival, we put on a show for the first week. The staff and I came up with it together...
But we'd never done anything like that before in our lives. Through trial and error, we wrote a script, designed all the costumes and whatnot. It was quite an ordeal...
That being said...
When we actually put on the show, all that pain suddenly disappeared.
The audience clearly enjoyed our show.
I saw the carnival guests all smiling and laughing. It was the moment I realized that this is how dreams are made.
I'm never going to forget that sensation I felt. Which is why...
Which is why this show means so much to you all...
Yes, and I was hoping that we could put it on one last time before the carnival closes for good... But we can't...
Wait, why not?
Not only were we not able to find a full copy of the script, the costumes also need repairs. Those and a few other factors brought us to the conclusion that it won't be possible.
You might think we should simply put on a brand-new show... But only that show from our beginnings would hold any real meaning as this carnival's final spectacle.
So, we've given up on doing one.
That's so unfortunate...
I'm sorry.
I shouldn't be talking about something so negative to a group of guests.
No, I was the one who asked.
More importantly...
If you don't feel comfortable with this, Mr. Inuyama, I'll understand... But would you allow me to put on this show?
I've actually been a cast member at an amusement park, and I was incredibly touched by your story just now.
I understand what you meant when you talked about wanting to see everyone smile and not being able to forget that sensation you felt.
So, if possible, I'd like to help out.
Tenma...
Me too...
I'd also like to lend a hand.
Like Tenma said, we made a lot of great memories here today...
You've made a lot of people smile up until now, Mr. Inuyama. So, I want to make sure you're smiling wide at the finale!
I appreciate the kind offer...
But as I just mentioned, we don't even have a full copy of the script.
And the costumes really are in tatters...
I'll do something about the script.
I can try to reconstruct the story based on everything you can remember!
As for the costumes, I might be able to help. If you have pictures or any other references for what they used to look like, I should be able to restore them!
I'm not as good as Mizuki here, but I also know my way around a sewing machine.
Umm... I can't help fix the costumes or anything...
But I can help out as a member of the cast.
All of you...!
We promise to make you and the guests all smile, Mr. Inuyama.
So, please...
Would you let us do your show?
Thank you all very much...
If you're willing to go this far...
...
I know it's beyond unreasonable to ask people who I just met to help me with this.
But...
If it means getting to experience that feeling again...
Alright...
Would you help an old man make his dream come true?
...!
Yes, of course!
In the name of putting smiles on you and all the guests, Mr. Inuyama...
We promise to make this show a success!
