We've entered the “Blue World” area.
If I recall correctly, that movie's about a dolphin that sets out into the ocean to find its parents.
Yeah, that's right.
Most of these rides and attractions all seem to be ocean themed too.
We don't have time to look around right now since we still have to get her to the care center... Or so I thought...
So cute!
What do we do?!
She must really like this dolphin because she isn't letting go of its statue!
She seems pretty happy for a kid who got separated...
Hehe. She must like this area quite a bit if she's forgotten about her current situation, no?
Yes, I understand how she feels. I mean, what child wouldn't be excited about seeing this area?
I remember Saki getting lost a few times like this while trying to have fun like our little one here...
Oh!
Hey, where are you going?!
Huh?! Is that the ocean...?!
Whoa, it really is!
Emu, what's wrong?!
Did something happen?
Look, you guys! It's the ocean!
Huh? She's right...!
Wait, this park extends out into the sea...?!
Ah, not quite. It looks like the sea, but it's definitely manmade. They've even built an impressive beach to go along with it...
This is Blue's house!
House? Oh, now I remember...!
This looks just like the place where the dolphin from “Blue World” lives!
This is incredible... They went this far to bring everything from that movie into our world?!
I can't believe they made it so the water forms waves since it doesn't look like it's open to the public like a wave pool or something, you know?
Yes, immersion must've been a top priority for them here. This beach alone lets you dive right into the story's narrative.
Oh...
How do you think they did all this, you guys?!
Hm? What do you mean, “How?”
I'm talking about how they were able to do really big things like building a whole ocean and stuff. I can't figure out why they're able to do this but we aren't...
Yes, well...
I suppose it begins with how realistic the prospects of building an ocean such as this are.
How realistic?
Oh, I see what you mean... Like whether or not it's actually safe to build an artificial lake?
Yes, that's part of it.
A piece of land would need to be supported in some way if it's unable to handle such a drastic change. But there's also...
Their budget...
Projects like these will require a considerable amount of resources to even get off the ground.
This may be one of the most famous theme parks in the world, but even they will only have a finite amount of resources.
I see...!
Jot... Jot... Jot...!
Hm? Why are you writing all this down?
Look!
A forest!
W-Wah!
It's not safe to tug on people like that!
Again?!
Where's she taking us now?!
She said, “There's a forest over there!”
A forest?
Is she talking about the “Jungle Music” area...?
We can't let her get lost again!
After them!
Huff... Huff...!
Finally... We caught up!
Wow...!! Look at all the trees!!
Yeah...!
This movie's about a plane crashing into a jungle and making their way back to civilization after becoming friends with the animals there, right?
Correct.
Not only that, this area also seems to have an immersive quality to it.
But these trees are imitations...
And yet, it feels like we've wandered into a real jungle for some reason...
Hm?!
Hang on. Is that tree...?
A roller coaster...?!
Yes, apparently.
Based on the research I did before arriving here, I believe it's supposed to represent the movie's final scene where they fall from the tallest tree in the jungle.
Ah, see how they're falling backwards? It's as if you, the rider, are the protagonist being pushed off the tree by your enemy.
Y-Yes, I see...!
But that thing goes really high up.
Wouldn't that scare most kids?
I agree.
It may be too much for...
Let's ride the roller coaster!
Huh?
You wanna go on that?
What?! Are you sure?!
We really should get you to the center as soon as possible...
I wanna ride the roller coaster!
Hmm... I've seen this look before.
Saki always made the same face whenever she really wanted to go on something.
Hehe. And there aren't many people in line right now. Why don't we take this opportunity to go on it?
Wait! No! Hold on!!
This is higher than I thought!
W-We have to go down backwards too...
We're so high up!
Is our little one gonna be okay? You sure it won't scare her too much...?
...
Alright, here we go!
N-Nooooo!!
I-It wasn't bad at all...?!
That was fun!
Just as I suspected...
She seems to have enjoyed herself.
The drop on this ride definitely looks high, but in reality, it was much gentler and not as big a drop as one would expect.
That's not to say that it wasn't thrilling or anything. They did a wonderful job of building up everyone's suspense prior to the initial drop.
Every park has some kind of roller coaster that's meant for kids...
But you getting to experience the story from a movie while riding a fun roller coaster like this was really something else.
Oh...
(That's amazing...!
It's like everything here's designed to make everyone smile...!)
Hm...?
Ah, that must be the Compass Center...
Yeah!
We need to hurry, Emu. This girl's parents might be waiting for her there.
Right!
