What's going on? Is something the matter?
You said you'd like to discuss something with us. If this is about your allowance, you need to wait until the beginning of your second year...
No, it's not about that.
Y-Yes, I do wanna discuss my allowance later, but this is much more important...
I want to switch to the credit-based course.
The credit-based course...?
Oh, now I remember...
Aren't Airi and Shizuku also in that?
Which means... Minori, are you hoping to switch in order to contribute more as a member of MORE MORE JUMP!?
Yeah...
Our solo show and the TV appearance the other day went so well that all these people are asking us to work with them.
But most of them need us to be available during the day. So far, we've had to turn down some of them because I'm in school during that time...
Which has been bothering me a lot lately. I'm afraid of what's gonna happen if this keeps up...
Yes, you did mention you've had to turn down some offers that you were really hoping to accept...
Exactly. Our main goal right now is to do a show at the Dome and spread more hope than we ever have.
Which means we need to get our name out there by working as much as we can as a group.
I understand what you're saying, Minori...
However, we can't agree to this lightly.
Switching to the credit-based course doesn't simply equate to being able to use your time freely, right?
How you handle your schoolwork and what sort of support your school is going to give you may change.
You still need to study. Not only that, the onus will likely be placed solely on you to figure out a way to keep up with your peers somehow.
I know...
Also, Minori... I'm sure you already realize that you won't be able to see your friends as much moving forward.
By placing your work as an idol first, there's a strong possibility that you won't be able to participate in the Sports Festival, School Festival or other such events.
In other words, you'll be relinquishing your only opportunity in life to enjoy high school like everyone else...
With all of that in mind, are you prepared to make this switch?
(It hasn't even been a year since I entered high school, but so much has happened in that time...)
(I got to meet Shiho and Kohane because I was living life as a normal high schooler. On top of that...)
(The Seaside School, the School Festival, everything... I had so much fun. And I was able to take part because I was a regular high school student...)
(But I might not be able to moving forward after I switch to the credit-based course.)
(However...)
(I've already made my decision.)
I've given this a lot of thought.
School, my friends, homework, all of it...
I understand that things are going to get really tough from here on out. I'm sad about not being able to see my friends as much, and having to study all on my own is going to be tough too.
Still, with all of that in mind, I still want to do more as a member of MORE MORE JUMP!
Which is why I want to go credit-based...
I want to do everything I possibly can as an idol!
Minori...
I see...
If you've already given it that much thought, then I have nothing else to say.
Dad...
Me neither...
When you first set out to become an idol, I was worried about whether it was really possible.
But you kept auditioning over and over again without ever giving up. Now, you have a wonderful group of friends, and successfully put on a solo show with them. You've become an idol like you always dreamed...
We couldn't be more proud of your achievements. So...
We want to see where your dream takes you, Minori.
Mom...
Go credit-based. Follow your heart.
You have our support no matter what.
*Gasp*
Thank you so much!
I promise to become an idol who can spread hope to lots and lots of people... The best idol ever!
So, thank you...
Thank you for your continued support!
...which is how I made the decision to go credit-based.
I see...
You really thought about what we said that much?
Now I feel kinda bad. I really just said that sort of in passing...
And it sounds like you didn't need my help finding an answer that you're happy with.
No, what you said just now feels like a huge source of encouragement!
Just now...?
The bonds you've forged with your friends won't easily break. The connections you've established with them will endure...
It may not seem that way at times moving forward...
But I don't want you to give up on them. You can always reset things by telling each other exactly how you feel.
“The bonds you've forged with your friends won't easily break.”
I want to believe that too!
Minori...
Which means...
We're all going to be credit-based, yes?
Yeah.
So...
We can start accepting those offers we initially couldn't.
Right...
Especially since we turned down some that we desperately wanted to do!
Oh, while we're on the subject...
I tried coming up with a schedule to help myself imagine being in the credit-based course...
Take a look!
If Haruka and I are both credit-based, we'll be free during these hours.
Which means that one offer we thought we'd have to turn down would actually be—
