*Sigh*
Another exhausting day...
(But I do feel less tired than I used to, so I guess I've managed to build up some stamina.)
(I'm glad that decided to start running every few days.)
Still, I wasn't expecting to pay homage to the Little Mermaid like this.
But I'm really looking forward to how our show turns out.
And we're really ambassadors now…
Phoenix Ocean Resort has an open-air Beach Stage that already attracts a lot of visitors due to it being a sort of public amphitheater.
We would like you to put on a show that is not only family friendly, like the ones you are already doing, but also appeals to a wider audience.
I was expecting our first assignment to be a much more modest affair...
Us being ambassadors sort of means that we're representing all of Phoenix Wonderland's stages and troupes.
So how the shows we do outside of the park go will directly affect how the shows back home will do.
(I hope this goes well... It has to...)
But I just couldn't give up!
I want Phoenix Wonderland to be a place that makes everyone smile forever and ever!
I don't care if you replace all the rides and get rid of the stages...
I just don't want it to stop being a place where everyone can smile, laugh and be happy!
(We somehow managed to tell Emu's family how we really felt about the future of the park.)
(And I don't want things to end there.)
I want more people to visit Phoenix Wonderland, and in order to do that...
We have to do everything we can as ambassadors to make that happen.
I'm also the one who suggested that we choose the Little Mermaid, so I should start working out the details.
Where do I begin…?
Oh, I know. I can start by rewatching the theatrical version.
I've already seen it enough times to recite most of the lines from memory, but it still might be able to give me some new ideas.
Let's see... Aha, there you are!
Pop in the DVD and... Play.
...
(Wow, it still holds up!
She really knows how to draw you into the story too.)
(No, what am I doing...?! I have to come up with some ideas for our show.)
...
(Oh, the lighting for this scene's gorgeous. It's like the stage is really just beneath the waves along the shore.)
(We'll be performing outside, so this might not be possible...)
(But we could try doing something with the backdrop instead...)
Phew...
(I've been watching this since I was little, but I still keep discovering new things about it.)
(But I'm looking at it from a production standpoint, so I guess that's natural.)
Anyway, let's see what I've got...
<And here we have the star of tonight's show, Yuka Kazamatsuri.>
Huh?
(Oh, right. The bonus footage for this DVD includes interviews. I guess they're just set to play automatically.)
(It's been a while, so I think I'll watch them.)
<I understand that this was your first time playing the lead role. Were you nervous at all?>
<Of course I was nervous. I'm a no-name actress who somehow landed the lead for this show.>
<But as long as this stage stands and I'm allowed to play this role...>
<I'll be here to give the best performances that I can.>
That's so cool...
Even when she's under all that pressure, she stays in character and never loses focus...
I need to keep trying my best too!
