Maintenance...? I usually only wipe my guitar down after practice, and change the strings every once in a while.

Yeah, since too much cleaning can wear down the finish and even the paint.

Oh, I usually scrub more than wipe when I'm cleaning my gear to get all the sweat and oily residue off...

Me too. I've tried looking for better cleaning methods in the past, but people usually just say, Get all the sweat off, or, Gently rub it.

I mean, you sorta just have to learn by doing.
